Hey everyone - just updated the firmware on the Sony-Ericsson P1 and it’s better than ever! If anyone has complaints about the sony ericsson p1 camera, step back cause all your problems have dissapeared. Night-mode, the autofocus, everything is much faster, efficient and actually works like it should. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the phone is even faster aswell - not like it was an issue before anyway. Also, make sure you follow the proper instructions for installing the firmware and other softwares for sony ericsson p1 free  - forums everywhere are flooded with people having issues and conflicts with synchronisation. The phone is an amazing smartphone, probably better value than other competitors such as the Nokia N95. I’ve had no issues with the GPS - If you’re after a GPS gadget I’d say get the P1 even if you don’t need a phone. Internet is speedy as ever…just an all out excellent phone from SE.

Sony Ericsson P1 User Guide:

I kind of regret buying this phone - although it’s cluttered with advanced features and bells & whistles all round, I just feel it’s missing key basics just as call recording. If it has, I haven’t found it at least - which is another problem in itself, navigation isn’t too easy. And what’s up with the keyboard? It’s so bizaare and hard to get used to, I wish they either went for a conventional common one or QWERTY one.

Pros: Great camera and quick interface.

Cons: Lack of HSDPA basically. But no phone’s perfect.

The display of this phone is a bit smaller than most smartphones, but it’s meant to be a business phone not an entertainment model. People should appreciate it at least has more than a 2MP camera which isn’t common for business/smart phones. The keyboards a common issue of contraversy too…and it should be. It blows.

Actually I take that back - initially it’s pretty confusing, but you’ll be up to speed typing after a week or so. 4/5 + in my books. Haven’t had a chance to test out the sony ericsson p1 gps, but other comments seem to be praising it. Everything’s coming up P1!

A combo of shape, features and style elevate the P1 against the N95 & E90. Folks dont get the real meaning of features, I ask you one question N95 has much features you would seen on a cell phone but does all of that useful for a single dude? P1 also have heaps of features but they limit the specs according to the numbers of people owning it.

Had a run through of the P1 yesterday, And I gotta say it’s pretty flashy and cool. The first thing that hit me was its speed - you don’t really realise how laggy and slow other handsets are until you play around with this. Faster than the E90 which I own at the moment.
