I have had mine for over two weeks now and I am very happy and very satisfied. I can’t fault it at all. It is a nice looking mobile with awesome features. I went from a Nokia N73, hated it and got the Sony K800I which I also sold because I didn’t like it. Now I finally have a mobile that I love and enjoy using. Go for this model, best nokia made. This also came with a 2GB memory card in the box which was nice to see considering the N73 only came with a 128MB. Nokia N81 RULES.
This phone is GREAT! For videos, watched a couple of high quality PC .rm South Park episodes on it and it handled it them perfectly, no stuttering, audio and visual we’re in sync, and it ran so smoothly
any videos a N95 can handle this can handle just as well with its 369mhz CPU great 2.4″ screen.
Bought a N81 brand new one month ago,
Problems have started, both hardware and software Problems
- Applications become very slow
- while im sliding the phone its going
to switchoff
- video streaming is very slow like slow
motion in movies
- Camera is really bad, quality is seems
to be VGA camera its not all worthfull
2 Mega Pixel
- Lack of Anti-Virus Protection to this
phone- prone to virus’s (I would know)My sincere advise to viewers……..
Please don’t expect reality as in the advertisement, beware of this advertisement on N81, after buying u will definately feel this phone is really annoying.
Got the phone today on Optus from Allphones.
my only gripes with the handset would be;
- Lack of volume from the internal speakers (very quiet)
- there are no protruding edges to stop the glossy surfaces from getting heavily scratched
but on the positive side
- Interface is extremely quick (dramatically faster than the N95)
- the media keys top and bottom fade out when not needed
- the ngage demos on the handset are excellent quality (Space Impact, FIFA 07 Demo and Asphalt 3)
Just bought an N81. This phone is great! the speaker quality is excellent, the keypad is comfortable, the camera quality is average (not toobad).
The Nokia N81 is so cool and stylish that it will make even old people that use it trendy. However, this being a multimedia phone, it definitely needs a better camera than this.
Why isn’t a 2MP camera good enough for a phone that is mostly a multi-media phone? I have seen phones with only a 2MP camera take way better pics than a 3.2MP or even a 5MP camera.
You guys are way too hung up on the mega pixel count. Mega pixels is only part of what goes into making a quality camera.
I hate ppl. who constantly complain. You can’t please everybody. If Nokia had put in a 3.2MP camera….then the haters would say “why not a 5MP camera??”
It’s called sacrifice….time to grow up.
I bought N81-1 3 days ago and sold it today.
I’m happy to get rid of it.
It’s really not TOO bad, but not up to the quality you’d expect for dishing out $700.
