The negative thing about this phone are:-
-Terrible heat up during calls.
-Short talk time(can only last for 1 hr & 15 mins of continues conversations!). Well, standby time is good.
-Fonts too small for comfort.
-Boring interface.
-Uncomfortable keypad.
-Shiny plastic back cover is a fingerprint magnet.
-Call duration not shown during call(only show call time after the call is finished).

Cons:
-The screen & fonts are on the small side.
-Reception not the strongest(but acceptable).
-Long standby time BUT very short talk time(less than 1hr 30mins.) of continues conversations!
-Cannot/donnot even show call time/duration during a call(will show only after the call is finished)…..that is crazy or stupid!!!
-Slippery to hold.
-Terrible keypad.
-Low quality 2MP camera…..the color is blue & the picture quality thumbs down.
-No video calling function.

Pros:
-Ring volume loud.
-Sound quality good.
-Handsfree speaker quality excellent.

My advise for you is to pay a little more & get yourself a Sonyericsson W910i(big screen, light weight, long standby & talk time, easy to use, not to mention a lot more function.

The 6500 Classic: this is a very nice phone, looks great and works really well, have used it to call, sms, mms , browse the web, email, bluetooth with my carkit, bluetooth with a headset,BT sync with PC, speakerphone etc… no problems so far.

Pros: Slim, lite, good looking, easy to use, latest Nokia S40 OS (5th revision), has most of the features any phone would have such as calls, sms, mms, 3G UMTS, email, HTML web, bluetooth, speakerphone, good looking display, camera with flash

Cons: Camera is not great - it’s not terrible but for sure not comparable to N73 or N95. No up down volume rocker switch (you control volume with the up/down joystick), no blinking led (no leds at all) - so you don’t know if the phone is on or off, new nokia charging plug so car charger and older chargers won’t fit - a real bummer, battery life not amazing (will last you a day or max two) and No video calls (not that I have ever done video calls on my other phones - apart from testing and seeing that it actually works).

Finally after 50 long years Nokia came up with a super slim phone! Bravo! Bravo! At last Nokia came up with a bright idea considering that Samsung and Moto phones is now tagged as the slim phone manufacturer. Sleek design and the features far surpass that of its rivals in my experience of the 6500.

Storage capacity of 1GB internal can be good for some, and a problem for others.
In which case, that is about 240 songs (about 20-24 albums). Obviously if you have photos, games, apps, etc installed then the amount of music stored on the memory will be drastically reduced.

In terms of internal memory (which is what it is), 1GB is “quite a lot”. But in terms of general storage, 1GB is not a lot of memory. However, I like to use my phone as a phone - not some technology jacking-off toy - so I don’t really care what it does so long as it operates perfectly as a phone. If I want music, I’ll get an MP3 player. Good photos, a decent digital camera. Good games, a games console.
