Since it’s release, Motorola have set this phone has set the bar well above a lot of phone manufacturers. If you’re a bit care-free on your disposable income, this phone won’t dissapoint. Just 2 weeks ago, my friend couldn’t get enough of making lame ‘I bought a V8′ puns.

Talking has been improved yet again on the RAZR2 V8 with Moto’s new ‘CrystalTalk’ technology, making speech through the phone pristine and clarified. A stainless steel casting on the phone makes sure you won’t be dropping it and accidentally crushing it while your intoxicated anytime soon.

As mentioned in the summary, the 2′ display is quite remarkable for a hand-held phone (although this may drain the battery a tad more). Touchscreen compatability gives added luxury similar to the iPhone, with pre-installed Windows Media Player 11 being able to be used even with the clamshell shut.

An interesting feature is that of Linux - the first time it’s been available on a mobile phone. Fast reaction times and multi-tasking (being able to keep playing music while on Linux, for instance) is an added bonus.

Rating: 4.5/5
