Used to own this bad-boy back in 06. Although it clearly had a lot of issues, I still took a liking to it.
- Pretty shocking camera. Unless the picture was absolutely inanimate, expect savage blurring.
- Can’t create playlists with it.
- No document viewer.
- Seems like any java app above 3 bytes just times out, it’s ridiculous.
- Crap picture editor.
- Lack of bluetooth support; It has it, but many related features can’t be used.
- Can’t use Opera web browser.
- If anymore come to mind…I’ll let you know.
Donate your money to charity instead of buying this, seriously you’ll be much more happy.
Benq-Siemens S88 User Guide:
I’m still yet to come across a phone slower or shitter than this one. Everday I just wanted to stomp on it in frustration.
Honestly, this phone is sent by god to just test your patience. I don’t know about others, but I’ve definetaly failed.
For someone at university, this phone is satisfactory. Mainly because:
The camera (2MP) is half decent
It’s cheap
The s88 isn’t on the market anymore, so they are aren’t very common, giving you a unique factor.
Hopefully a Benq-Siemens re-entry to the phone market will happen in the near future again, since i’ll definately go with one of their phones again.
Piece of poo. Bought this with the intention of upgrading from the S75. I ended up paying more money for less usability.
